The fertility window refers to the days in a woman’s menstrual cycle when she has the highest chance of becoming pregnant. This period lasts for six days, including the five days before ovulation and the day of ovulation itself. During this time, sperm cells can survive in the female reproductive system, increasing the chances of fertilization. Fertility awareness methods, such as monitoring cervical mucus and measuring basal body temperature, can help determine the fertility window. However, since these methods require high accuracy, their effectiveness can decrease with typical use.
