Gynecological cancers are malignancies that affect female reproductive organs such as the uterus, cervix, ovaries, vagina, and vulva. Cervical cancer, in particular, is closely linked to human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and can be detected early through regular screenings (Pap smear, HPV testing). Long-term use of birth control pills may offer protection against endometrial and ovarian cancers, although some studies have shown a slight increase in the risk of breast cancer. Therefore, contraceptive method selection should be made with consideration of individual risk factors.
